Meet with Dr. Harrison
First, you’ll need to schedule a consultation with our neuropathy doctor in Grand Rapids, MI. During your appointment, Dr. Harrison will evaluate your symptoms, determine the extent of your sensory loss, check your medical history, and perform a physical exam. In general, the examination should take between 15 and 20 minutes.
Dr. Harrison may also consult with your primary care physician to ensure you’re doing everything in your power to reduce your neuropathy symptoms and prevent your condition from worsening.
For example, if you have diabetic peripheral neuropathy, your primary care physician will most likely recommend that you adopt a healthier diet and exercise on a regular basis. That way, you’ll stand a better chance of keeping your blood sugar within target levels.

Schedule Sessions for Neuropathy Treatment
There’s no fast cure for neuropathy pain. What we offer our patients is gradual improvement over the course of several sessions. For this reason, it’ll take a few visits to the Harrison Neuropathy Center before you start to notice significant results.
The average plan for neuropathy treatment is about 90 days. Once you finish the 90-day period, you’ll continue your treatments at home instead of at the Harrison Neuropathy Center. We’ll then check in with you every three months for as long as you need us.
Notice a Decrease in Your Symptoms
As time passes, your neuropathy symptoms won’t feel as intrusive. They should lessen in severity and occur less frequently. You may also start to notice that you’re having more “good days” than bad ones. This is a major sign that your neuropathy treatment is working as anticipated.
